Saroni Roy is an Indian Australian actor, Co-chair Equity Diversity-Media, Entertainment & Arts Alliance (MEAA), Keynote Speaker, Creative Consultant, AACTA-AFI accredited Actor, PR & Media professional, Social Entrepreneur, based in Sydney.
Championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Saroni is the first Indian-origin woman to be elected as Federal Councilor, National Performers Committee – MEAA Equity. Hailing from a family of artists and singers, Performing & Visual Arts is a way of life for her and she got her training in Indian Semi-Classical singing and in several dance forms since the age of three, namely Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Odissi and Flamenco.
She started her career in Screen Acting in leading Film Schools in Sydney and has appeared in a number of Australian, American & European Film and TV productions including Amazon Prime Web Series. Saroni is the face of leading brands like Commonwealth Bank Australia, M.A.C Cosmetics, Nancy Ganz, Pinterest and many more. Her portrait by Australian photographer Stine Munk Jenson won the Portrait Master’s Bronze Award in Los Angeles, the first Indian origin model to win this prestigious award.
A Cancer-survivor, facing multiple invisible disability, Saroni is a Body-Activist and her story of struggle, success and service has inspired several across the globe, shattering the glass ceiling in several ways. In 2018
Saroni won the Ms India Australia Goodwill Ambassador title at the Miss/Mrs/Mr. India Australia beauty pageant, for her extensive contribution to global community welfare and the UN-SDGs, and has won numerous awards like 2022 Strathfield Citizen of the Year Award, TAFE NSW Contribution to the Community Award 2021, to name a few.

Night Shyamalan, Steve Killelea AM, Stuart Rees AM, her forte is peace economics, beauty, wellness, fashion & lifestyle journalism, focusing on the craft and the unique success stories of eminent personalities and the dynamically aspirational young and the restless.
