She Magazine had the privilege of attending the Elevate Multicultural Women in Business event on June 29th, 2023, held at Novotel Parramatta. The event, which was supported by NSW Treasury and part of the CMRC Business Connect program, aimed to celebrate women’s startups and entrepreneurs and provide them with the visibility they need to thrive, while also inspiring others to follow in their footsteps. The event focused on informing and educating women on starting and developing a business, empowering and encouraging those who have ideas to plan and startup.

The event featured a panel talk and a small fashion walk to support business highlighting the achievements and stories of successful women. One of the notable speakers at the event was Judy Macay, a former Australian politician, who shared her journey and experiences with the attendees.

The event also showcased various attractions, including jewelry, painting sarees, and wellness stalls. Attendees had the opportunity to explore and engage with these stalls, discovering unique and diverse products and services.

She Magazine would like to extend their gratitude to Melissa Monteiro for inviting them to this incredible gathering. The evening was truly enlightening and inspiring, leaving a deep impact on all those present. Witnessing women from different cultural backgrounds coming together to support one another and foster an environment of empowerment was an inspiring sight.

The event successfully brought together a diverse group of women who are excelling in their respective fields of business. It was a testament to the power of collaboration and the potential for women to thrive when provided with the right opportunities and support.

Once again, a special thanks and congratulations to Melissa and her exceptional team at the Community Migrant Resource Centre(https://www.facebook.com/CommunityMRC) for organising and executing such a remarkable event. Their efforts in creating a platform for multicultural women in business are truly commendable and deserve recognition. She Magazine looks forward to attending more events like this in the future, where women’s achievements and contributions can be celebrated and highlighted.
