Mother’s Day is a special day to celebrate the love, sacrifice, and hard work of all mothers. To commemorate this special occasion, we organised an event in collaboration with Empowered BWB, Harman Foundation Connect. and ARTantana Handmade. Councillor Reena Jethi was the chief guest, who delivered a beautiful and inspirational speech on motherhood.
The event featured two guest speakers who shared their experiences and expertise with the audience. The first speaker Mercedes Durante talked about the challenges of being a working mother and the resilience required to balance the demands of a job and raising children. Her words of encouragement and inspiration resonated with many of the attendees, who could relate to her struggles and triumphs.
The second speaker Julie Warner focused on practical tips for setting up and marketing a business while still prioritizing family commitments. She shared her own journey of starting successful businesses and provided insights into how to do it without spending a lot of money.
The event also included a wonderful and informative terrarium-making demonstration by Anshu Saxena, who also kindly sponsored food for everyone.
Attendees were able to sample some healthy and delicious wellness products from Earthy Souls, owned by Mansi Bhatia, who also gave a talk on wellness.
Throughout the event, there was plenty of laughter, positivity, and conversations. Attendees were inspired by the speakers and encouraged to connect with one another. The lucky draw with prizes was a highlight of the day, with many attendees winning exciting gifts.
The photography was done by Shantana Dutta from Light_antana Photography, who captured the joy and spirit of the event in her beautiful pictures. Overall, the Mother’s Day event was a huge success, bringing together mothers from all walks of life to celebrate their love and resilience.
